fat tax?

there's more more discussion of this topic recently, as arizona is considering one. pretty interesting, in my opinion. i'm all for creating some tax on a high BMI, as long as some of the proceeds are used to bring healthier foods to poorer neighborhoods. this solution (i.e. taxing the effects, rather than the causes) is better than additional taxes on fast-food and sodas, as examples, because all fast-food isn't necessarily bad, and many fruit drinks are worse than certain sodas. in other words, there are many causes.
